“Whatever good is done for good men is never done in vain” - Plautus

Due to your numerous donations, financial and material, the MIT was able to visit Myanmar once again in 2012. And again, it was a great success. By the time we arrived at Sagaing Hills, hundreds of people were already waiting for us, waiting to get their chance for a better life. This year we had an anesthesia device at hand for the first time, it was donated to us and extended the number of possible surgery a lot. We split into four teams, three of them performed surgery simultaneously, the last one treated patients under local anesthesia. And again, we also offered consultation hours and educated local dentists in new and advanced techniques.

That year we not only visited the hospital, but also an orphanage and a Buddhist monastery school and distributed material donations from Germany, for example toothbrushes. In conclusion, we were able to help 120 people in 2012, 86 of them had a cleft lip and palate. Without your support, all of this would not be possible. Thank you!
